Quick answers,
back to printing.
Everything you need to know about making, packing and printing PuzzleForge activities.
Is PuzzleForge really free?
Yes. Every generator, every difficulty level and every classroom pack is free to use and free to print. There is no account, no trial and no watermark.
How do I save a worksheet as a PDF?
Click the Print button on any generator, then choose “Save as PDF” as the destination in your browser's print dialog. The print pack includes every worksheet in your pack followed by the matching answer keys.
Can every student get a different copy?
Yes. Set “Number of unique worksheets” to anything up to 30 and each copy is generated with a different layout—different grids, mazes, ciphers or problems—while keeping the same theme and difficulty. Matching answer keys are printed after the worksheets so grading stays simple.
Are the puzzles guaranteed to be correct?
Every activity is generated and validated algorithmically. Mazes always have a route from start to finish, division problems always produce whole-number answers, subtraction never goes below zero, ciphers never map a letter to itself, and every answer key is derived from the exact worksheet it accompanies.
Which paper sizes are supported?
US Letter and A4, both in portrait. Pick your size in the “Prepare your pack” panel and the live preview and print output adjust automatically.
Why didn't one of my words fit in the word search?
Each difficulty uses a fixed grid: 10×10 for Easy, 12×12 for Medium and 15×15 for Hard. A word longer than the grid, or one that can't be placed without conflicts, is left out and listed in a warning so you can shorten it or raise the difficulty.
Do you store my words, quotes or worksheets?
No. Everything is generated in your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server. The optional “Save project” button on the word search keeps a draft in your own browser's local storage only.
Can I use the printouts in my classroom?
Absolutely—that's what PuzzleForge is for. Print as many copies as you need for your class, homeschool, tutoring group or rainy afternoon.
